Jim and Cathy hail from Colorado where
Jim spent his life in the beef industry. Jim has managed both commercial
and purebred cattle operations in 4 different states, and has run
feedlots in conjunction with most, so Jim is aware of the special
problems and needs of the commercial cowman. Jim is currently a
director of the Montana Red Angus Association and serves on a variety
of committees. Cathy works at the hospital in Bozeman as the unit
clerk for the operating room, and in her spare time manages the
ranch computer operations.
Jim and Cathy have two children: Jamie (26) has her Masters degree in Elementary School Counseling and is employed in Buffalo WY. She comes home to help when ever possible. Matt (23) is in last semester at Montana State University. Will do his student teaching spring 2007 on his way to becoming an Ag teacher. When not in school or rodeoing Matt helps Jim on the ranch. He is quite a hand, expecially around horses.
Jim is always happy to discuss cows
and the ranch and believes a hand shake and giving your word is
still an important part of the cattle business.
